Cary Q Wines is the label of winemaker Cary Quintana, who was born and raised in Miami, is proud of her Cuban heritage and moved to Northern California in 2013. She is largely self-taught and an alumna of the UC Davis Viticulture & Enology Winemaking Certificate Program. Her first vintage, in 2014, was a co-fermented Grenache and Mourvèdre from organically farmed Sonoma fruit, and the winery describes itself as woman-owned and Hispanic-owned.
The focus is naturally high-acid, climate-adaptive grapes, often lesser-known Mediterranean and Rhône varieties, from organic and sustainably farmed vineyards across Northern California; the website lists Shake Ridge Ranch among its sources. Recent bottlings include a Xarel·lo, a Cinsault, the Perfect Storm blends of Mourvèdre, Tempranillo and Grenache, a Picpoul and the Hollis Mourvèdre. Fermentations are native, extraction is gentle, and the wines rest in concrete, stainless steel or neutral French oak. The website says the wines are produced and bottled by Cary Q Wines in Santa Rosa.
There is no tasting room, so Cary Q does not receive visitors. The wines are sold through the online shop and the mailing list, and the winery offers virtual wine tastings on request. The day below stays around Santa Rosa and the Russian River Valley, at three estates that do host.
Cary Q Wines does not offer tastings at a winery; it offers virtual tastings on request.
On the day below, tastings are $30 at Balletto, $35 at Kendall-Jackson and $35 at Paradise Ridge, paid directly to each winery.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

All three wineries are open daily. Paradise Ridge's last tasting appointment is at 3:30 p.m., and its hours can change from May to October for private events, so we confirm it when we book.
