Single-vineyard Pinot Noir from a physician turned winemaker, who hosts her own tastings at a Windsor winery, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Kerith Overstreet finished medical school at the University of Rochester, a residency and two fellowships at UC San Diego, then decided winemaking sounded more fun. She enrolled at UC Davis to study enology and went straight into the 2008 harvest. Starting from a single barrel, she has grown Bruliam to about 1,000 cases a year, and she runs nearly every part of it herself. The name blends her three children's names, Bruno, Lily and Amelia, and the label riffs on the Periodic Table of Elements.
Bruliam is mostly single-vineyard Pinot Noir, with a little Rockpile Zinfandel and, since 2017, Chardonnay. The estate is Torrey Hill, a Russian River Valley vineyard of old-vine Martini clone and 667 Pinot Noir, bought in 2012 and partly replanted in 2015 with tight, Burgundy-style spacing. Other sources include Sangiacomo's Roberts Road and the Nightwing vineyard in the Petaluma Gap and Soberanes in the Santa Lucia Highlands, next door to Garys'.
Tastings are at the Grand Cru winery in Windsor, at bar tops for up to four or in private table rooms for up to eight. The Signature Tasting pours three current releases with a hospitality host, and the Winemaker Tasting is a deeper look at five single-vineyard wines with Kerith herself, side by side so you can taste the difference place makes. Guests who like the science get it too: she is happy to explain fermentation, oak and why buttery Chardonnay tastes buttery.
$50 for the Signature Tasting of three current releases, 60 minutes. $85 for the Winemaker Tasting of five current releases with Kerith Overstreet, with local cheese.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
