Bedarra Vineyards is the family winery of co-founders Brigid and Jeff Harris, named for Bedarra, the small island off the Great Barrier Reef where they spent their honeymoon in 2003. The winery began in 2005 with the purchase of a home and vineyard on the southern edge of Dry Creek Valley, and its first wines included a Chardonnay, a white blend called Beachfront, a red blend called Bonfire and a Primitivo.
In 2013 the couple bought an 8-acre hillside vineyard on Chalk Hill Road, at the southernmost tip of Alexander Valley, a cooler corner of the valley. They replanted it completely in 2014, about 90% to Cabernet Sauvignon with small blocks of Malbec and Merlot, and the 2018 vintage was the first estate Cabernet Sauvignon release.
Guests taste the estate-grown wines at the Bedarra Beach House, set beside the vineyard pond, by reservation. It is a small, personal visit a few minutes from the larger estates along Chalk Hill Road, and an easy drive from downtown Healdsburg. We confirm current details when we book.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. Bedarra does not publish its tasting prices online. Tastings are complimentary for wine club members. We confirm the current price when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Both hotels are in downtown Healdsburg, about 20 minutes from Chalk Hill Road. The morning stays on Chalk Hill Road, where the first two wineries are a few minutes apart, and the afternoon is back in town. Extra time can be added by the hour.
About 20 minutes away. A 1,300-acre estate known for Chardonnay, with views from an elevated tasting room. The Vineyard Overlook Tasting of four small-lot wines is $50; plan on about 90 minutes.

About 20 minutes away. Lunch back in downtown Healdsburg at Little Saint, a plant-based restaurant, coffee bar and wine lounge, open daily from 8 a.m. We confirm hours when we book. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
A short walk away. A downtown lounge with deep sofas and a vinyl collection, pouring Pinot Noir from Oregon to Santa Barbara. Intro to Siduri, three Pinot Noirs, is $20, and the North-to-South Tasting of six is $30; plan on about 45 minutes to an hour.
Back by 4:00 p.m., six hours after pickup.
Bedarra does not publish its tasting days or hours, so we confirm the reservation first and set the order of the day around it. Chalk Hill Estate is open daily, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Siduri is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so on those days we choose another downtown Healdsburg tasting room.
About $70 per person in published tasting fees for Chalk Hill Estate and Siduri, plus the Bedarra tasting fee, which we confirm when we book. Each winery is paid directly.
