Calistoga · Napa Valley
A gated Jackson Family estate in north Calistoga that pours wines from its collection of estates around the world, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.
Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
The estate on Bennett Lane began as Robert Pecota Winery. Bob Pecota bought the land in 1974 and founded his winery in 1978. In 2006 he sold it to Jess Jackson, who used it as the home of Atalon Winery. Today it is the Napa Valley estate of the Spire Collection, part of Jackson Family Wines, which is led by Barbara Banke.
The Spire Collection is the Jackson family's group of top wineries. It includes Napa names such as Cardinale, Lokoya, La Jota Vineyard Co. and Mt. Brave, along with estates in Bordeaux, Tuscany, McLaren Vale, the Western Cape, Willamette Valley and Sonoma County. That range means one table can move from Napa mountain Cabernet to wines from several other countries.
The estate is gated and quiet, with vines around it and the Palisades and Mount St. Helena behind. Visits are seated and by appointment for small groups of up to six. Each tasting is a selection of five wines chosen around your own preferences, so no two visits pour quite the same lineup.
$75 per person for the Seated Tasting at the Calistoga estate, a customized selection of five wines.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
