Odette Estate Winery

About the Winery

Odette was founded in 2012 by the trio behind the PlumpJack Collection, who saw the potential of this 45-acre Stags Leap District vineyard. They wanted a sister winery to PlumpJack's plush Oakville Cabernets and CADE's powerful Howell Mountain wines, one that shows the elegance and nuance of Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Head winemaker Andrew Haugen has been on the team since 2015.

The winery, by architect Juan Carlos Fernandez, has lines meant to evoke flowing evening gowns, a nod to Odette of Swan Lake. It has been LEED Gold certified since 2017, with offices built from recycled shipping containers, solar panels, naturally cool caves and rainwater irrigation, and every Odette Estate wine is made from certified organic grapes.

Visits are in a contemporary estate lounge surrounded by vines, with the Stags Leap Palisades rising behind. The Odette Experience pours Estate and Reserve Cabernets beside the vineyard they came from, with a cheese plate for every two guests. Children and leashed dogs are welcome (only guests 21 and over taste), and sister winery Adaptation pours more casual tastings on the same property.

Tasting Fees

$100 for the Odette Experience: recent Estate and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons, Reserve Chardonnay and select Adaptation wines, with a cheese plate for every two guests. $175 for the Collectors Tasting (listed on Tock as the Small Bite Pairing): a welcome glass of Reserve Chardonnay, a guided tour of the LEED Gold winery and four library vintages of Estate Cabernet with seasonal bites, for 4 to 8 guests.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

11:45 · Miner Family Winery

About 15 minutes away. A winery in the eastern hills of Oakville with sweeping vineyard views and a 20,000-square-foot cave. The Private Vineyard Views Tasting, in the third-floor lounge or on the terrace with your own host, starts at $100, up to 90 minutes; the Private Cave Tasting starts at $125. Thursday to Monday, with limited availability Tuesday and Wednesday.

1:20 · Lunch at Brix

About 8 minutes away. Lunch at Brix on Highway 29, with a daily-changing farm-to-table menu drawn from its own gardens; lunch is served 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed Tuesdays. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

2:30 · James Cole Winery

About 12 minutes away. A family winery at the corner of the Silverado Trail and Oak Knoll Avenue, with vineyard views and a candle-lit barrel room. The Reserve Tasting of five signature and reserve wines is $75; we allow about an hour. By appointment; last tasting an hour before closing.

3:30 · Back to your hotel

Back by about 3:45 p.m., within six hours of pickup.

About $275 to $375 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.

Brix is closed on Tuesdays and Miner's private tastings are fullest Thursday to Monday, so this day works best Wednesday through Monday.

Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
