Las Bonitas is the personal label of Garret Murphy, who founded Vintner's Collective in downtown Napa and started his own wine a few years later. The name means "the pretty ones," and the label's circles of golden hair are a nod to his two daughters.
The focus is small lots of Cabernet Sauvignon and red blends, with Syrah, Petite Sirah and Chardonnay in the lineup. Wines like The Giant, a Cabernet, and The Daredevil, a proprietary red, are made in small quantities, with vineyard sources that change from year to year.
You taste Las Bonitas at Vintner's Collective, in a building constructed in 1875 that has been a saloon and a brothel in its time. The collective pours about 18 boutique producers that have no tasting room of their own, at the bar or upstairs in a seated reserve tasting. It is a lively downtown start before the drive into Carneros.
At Vintner's Collective: $50 for The No. 1, five wines at the bar, about 45 minutes, no reservation needed. $100 for The No. 2, a seated reserve tasting upstairs, by appointment (cheese and charcuterie $25 extra). $250 for The No. 3, with sparkling wine, cheese, charcuterie and chocolates, by appointment.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
