In 1998 Kelly Fleming, a restaurateur and entrepreneur from Oregon, bought a 300-acre property in Simmons Canyon, just south of Calistoga. She planted 12 acres of vines in 1999, focused on Cabernet Sauvignon, dug caves into the rock hillside and built a stone winery reminiscent of southern France. The first grapes were crushed there in 2010, and for years visitors came for the setting, the wines and her hospitality.
The wines include the Kelly Fleming Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from the Calistoga AVA, made by Rebecca George and Andy Jones, with 917 cases of the 2019; Big Pour, a companion Cabernet built from estate lots; The Bear and the Bees reserve; and the barrel-aged Queen Bee Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, most recently the 2023.
Kelly sold the winery and vineyard in 2024 to Jayson Woodbridge of Hundred Acre, and the brand is no longer based in Calistoga. Kelly Fleming Wines still sells current and library wines online and to its mailing list, and its team hosts private tastings and events around the country. The day below goes to three Calistoga estates that do host.
Kelly Fleming Wines no longer offers tastings in Napa. On the day below, the tasting fees are $65 at Chateau Montelena, $100 at Schramsberg and $90 at Larkmead, about $255 per person in all, paid directly to each winery.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Pickup at 10:00 a.m. from a Calistoga hotel such as Solage or Four Seasons Napa Valley.
Since Kelly Fleming Wines does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. Solage and Four Seasons Napa Valley are both on the Silverado Trail in Calistoga, about 10 minutes from the first stop. The day runs about five and a half hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 10 minutes away. The Calistoga estate whose Chardonnay beat the French in 1976. The walk-in tasting is $65, about 45 minutes, offered daily from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
About 15 minutes away. America's sparkling wine pioneer, with hillside caves dug in the 1870s. The cave tour with the classic tasting is $100, about an hour, by appointment.
About 15 minutes away. Lunch at Solbar at Solage, with seasonal Napa Valley cooking and a patio by the pool. Lunch runs Monday to Saturday, with brunch on Sunday, both until 2:45 p.m. We confirm hours when we book. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 10 minutes away. One of Napa Valley's oldest family estates, farmed organically on old riverbed gravels. The seated salon tasting of three red wines is $90, 45 to 60 minutes, by appointment seven days a week.
Back by about 3:20 p.m., about five and a half hours after pickup.
About $255 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
All three wineries host seven days a week, so this day works any day. Schramsberg asks guests to arrive within 10 minutes of the booked time, and we plan the morning around it.
Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
