About the Winery

Mike and Sandy Davis first imagined a winery of their own on a visit to Sterling Vineyards in the early 1980s. In 2011 they bought a 155-acre estate on the Silverado Trail in Calistoga, and the winery opened in 2016. Their son Brandon leads the estate experience, and three of the wines are named for grandchildren.

The buildings are by the Napa architect Howard Backen and echo the estate's historic barn, with sweeping views of the northern valley and 11,000 square feet of caves. Philippe Melka has consulted on the wines since 2011, including the small-lot Phase V program.

The focus is Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with a tasting that compares Cabernets from four different areas of the valley. Every visit is seated and hosted, making it a polished, unhurried stop.

Tasting Fees

$100 for the estate wine and food pairing, about an hour. $125 for the cave tour and tasting and $150 for the Cabernet Sauvignon exploration, each about 90 minutes. $200 for the collector's tasting and $275 for the two-hour VIP experience. Fees are waived with a qualifying wine purchase.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
