George and Nancy Bravante founded Bravante Vineyards in 1996, after marrying in Napa Valley and deciding to raise their family there. They planted 20 acres on Howell Mountain to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc in 1998, and acquired a second vineyard in 2000. The couple have owned and run the winery for 30 years.
The Bravantes began building and permitting their own estate winery in 2005. By the 2009 harvest it was finished, and the wines became 100% estate grown, produced and bottled. The vineyards sit between about 1,400 and 2,300 feet on a volcanic bench and grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc Musqué. The reds age 22 months in French oak in the barrel cave.
A visit is a private estate tour and tasting for your group alone. You walk through the vineyard and winery, learn how the wines are made, then taste in the private tasting cave. Plan on about 90 minutes. Guests are also welcome to picnic on the private patio.
$75 per person for the private Estate Tour and Tasting, about 90 minutes, for groups up to 8.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

We pick up at 9:30 to make the 10 a.m. seating. The day below fits a six-hour tour, and extra time can be added by the hour.
