About the Winery

Taddei Wines is a family-run boutique winery in Windsor's Beverage District, sharing its home at 7730 Bell Road with Super Sonoman Custom Crush. Winemaker Chris Taddei makes bold-style wines from both Napa and Sonoma, with a focus on single-vineyard bottlings.

The list leans toward Cabernet Sauvignon from named sites: the Taddei Block in Rutherford, Mustard Hill in Oakville, the Haas and Link vineyards in Knights Valley and the Ionnatti Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. There are also Pinot Noirs from the Jenks and Wohler vineyards, a Bordeaux-style Meritage and a red blend called The Super Sonoman.

Tastings are personal and hosted by the winemaker himself, with at least four wines and cheese and other bites included. For guests who want to hear about the wines from the person who made them, it is a relaxed counterpoint to the larger estates nearby.

Tasting Fees

Taddei Wines does not publish a tasting fee. We confirm the current price when we book. Wine club members receive a complimentary tasting for themselves and up to five friends.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

10:00 · Pickup at Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country or Hampton Inn & Suites Windsor

The Hyatt is in Santa Rosa's Railroad Square and the Hampton Inn is in Windsor; each is about 15 minutes from Bell Road. The day stays in the Russian River Valley between Windsor and Santa Rosa.

10:15 · Taddei Wine

A private tasting hosted by winemaker Chris Taddei, with at least four of his single-vineyard wines and cheese. The winery does not publish a fee or a length; we plan about an hour and 15 minutes and confirm both when we book.

11:45 · Lunch at Bird & The Bottle

About 15 minutes away. Mark and Terri Stark's modern tavern just east of downtown Santa Rosa, with shared plates from a wood-fired grill. We confirm hours and reserve a table when we book. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 15 minutes away. The Sonoma County home of Kendall-Jackson, with four acres of gardens. The guided Estate Wine Tasting of Jackson Estate wines is $35; we plan about an hour.

2:40 · La Crema Estate at Saralee's Vineyard

About 10 minutes away. Seated tastings of cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in a 1900 hop barn on Saralee's Vineyard. The Estate Tasting of six wines is $35, on the patio when the weather allows.

3:45 · Back to your hotel

Back by 4 p.m., six hours after pickup.

Kendall-Jackson and La Crema are open daily, so the day turns on Taddei's availability. Taddei does not publish its hours, so we confirm the time with the winery first and build the rest of the day around it.

About $70 per person in tasting fees at Kendall-Jackson and La Crema, plus the Taddei tasting fee, which we confirm when we book. Fees are paid directly to each winery.

Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
