Gracianna is owned by the Amador family of Sonoma County and named for Gracianna Lasaga, a French Basque ancestor who emigrated from the French side of the Pyrenees and, with her husband John, raised sheep in Santa Barbara County. The family remembers her for simple, gracious meals that always included wine, and gratitude is the theme of the brand: every wine shipment goes out with a handwritten note of thanks from one of the partners.
The brand took shape from 2005, and its first release, the 2007 vintage, came out in February 2009: 50 cases of Pinot Noir and 50 of Zinfandel. Today Gracianna makes Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley's Stagecoach Vineyard. The estate Pinot Noir comes from the Mercedes Riverblock, planted to Dijon clone 115 right on the bank of the Russian River, and the vineyard is certified sustainable.
The winery sits about seven miles southwest of downtown Healdsburg on the stretch of Westside Road locals call the Miracle Mile. You check in at the red barn doors, and every tasting is seated outdoors among the estate buildings and gardens the family designed; plan on about 75 minutes. It is small and personal, and the family also offers estate tours and a farm stay.
$30 for the Premium tasting of six wines, waived with a two-bottle purchase per person ($35 for groups of 8 or more). $45 for the Ultra-Premium tasting of eight or more wines, waived with a three-bottle purchase per person. Plan on about 75 minutes.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

The Madrona, a 24-room hotel on a historic estate on Westside Road, is about 15 minutes from Gracianna, and Farmhouse Inn, a 25-room inn on River Road in Forestville, about 20. The day below fits a six-hour tour, and extra time can be added by the hour.
The first stop. The Ultra-Premium tasting of eight or more wines ($45), seated outdoors, about 75 minutes; the Premium tasting of six wines is $30.
About 25 minutes away. A historic Forestville winery property with roots in the 1890s, reclaimed in 2008 by fourth-generation farmer and winemaker Gio Balistreri, and one of the few wineries with its own kitchen, so a tasting can come with lunch or small bites on a shaded, heated patio. The Wine Tasting Flight is $20 to $30, and the Library Tasting of red wines from the library is $75 for 2 to 6 guests. Open daily from 11:30 a.m.; reservations recommended.
About 10 minutes away. A café, soda fountain and general store at the center of Graton since 1995, serving down-home comfort food on a remodeled patio or inside. Lunch from 11:30 a.m., with brunch on Sundays. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay house that Dan Kosta and Michael Browne, two waiters at a Santa Rosa restaurant, started in 1997 with pooled tips; its 2009 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year in 2011. The genuinely acclaimed name of the day: the Appellations Exploration is $125, and the Observations Flight, with a walking tour of the working cellar at The Barlow in Sebastopol, $150, each for 1 to 8 guests. Prepaid reservations required; days and times confirmed when we book.
Back in Forestville or Healdsburg by 4:30 p.m.
Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting. Gracianna is open April 1 to November 30, so this day works in those months; Kosta Browne confirms its days and times when we book. It ends around 4:15 in Forestville and 4:30 in Healdsburg.
About $175 to $200 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
