About the Winery

Eric Flanagan's interest in wine grew from travels through wine regions from New Zealand to Greece, and from watching how soils and climate shaped different styles. In 1999 he bought 40 acres on the heights of Bennett Mountain, and in 2001 he and his daughter Riley planted their first vines. Riley is now his business partner, running wholesale sales and hosting tastings around the country, and she has her own line, Riley's Rows.

In 2016 the family bought a winery and vineyard site just outside Healdsburg, redeveloped the vineyards and moved all production there. Isabelle Mort, a native of Montreal trained at the Canadian Food and Wine Institute, has led the winemaking since 2018. Alongside the estate Cabernet vineyard, Flanagan makes wines from some of Sonoma County's best-known vineyards, among them Ritchie, Bacigalupi, River Road Grape Farm and Gap's View.

The setting is the reason to come: a private, by-appointment estate on a hilltop at the south end of the valley, with sweeping views of Dry Creek Valley and the Mayacamas Mountains and a choice of indoor seating or an overlook terrace. The Signature Tasting runs from Chardonnay through Pinot Noir and Syrah to Cabernet, and on weekend mornings the Behind the Wine tour walks the historic barrel hall and crush pad and climbs to the vineyard ridge line for the panorama.

Tasting Fees

$45 for the Flagship Flight of four wines, 60 minutes. $95 for the private Signature Tasting, 90 minutes. $195 for Behind the Wine: Estate Tour & Tasting, 120 minutes, Saturday to Monday at 10:30 a.m. Club members taste free.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Tastings are on the patio behind the living-roof cellar, a concrete arch covered in soil and rosemary, often poured by a member of the family. A flight of six wines is $35.
