A Rhône-focused vintner's Syrah, Rhône whites and single-vineyard Zinfandel, tasted by appointment at a Windsor winery collective, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.
Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
Jeff Cohn Cellars began in 1996 with a single Zinfandel. Jeff runs the winery with his wife, Alexandra, and names it for his mother, Iris, who encouraged him to start it and helped fund it. Every bottle carries an iris on the label.
Jeff describes himself as a Rhône-centric vintner, a style he built by drinking and studying Rhône wines, visiting the Rhône Valley and working alongside Rhône winemakers such as Yves Cuilleron, Yves Gangloff and Pierre Gaillard. The lineup centers on Rhône reds and whites, including the limited Buffalo Hill and So Serine Syrahs, along with single-vineyard Zinfandel, the grape he started with.
Tastings are held by appointment at Grand Cru Custom Crush, a winery collective in Windsor, at three set times on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The longer Curated Flight adds small local bites and stories about the growers Jeff has worked with for years. We confirm current details when we book.
$45 per person for the Tasting Flight of five small-production Rhône and single-vineyard Zinfandel wines plus a Rhône white. $125 per person for the Curated Flight of seven wines, including the Buffalo Hill and So Serine Syrahs, with small local bites. Complimentary for wine club members and up to three guests. We confirm the current price when we book.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
